Parents,

The Atkinson Eagle school day begins at 7:45 a.m. One of the most valuable life skills a student can learn is taking the responsibility of arriving at school every day on time. This skill can easily be accomplished and will transfer as a valuable asset for the future. One of the most important times of the school day is the morning. This is the time when important school news is announced, teachers define the plans for the day, and instructional goals are reviewed and set. The whole tone of a child’s school day is set in the first part of the day. Please help support your children in learning habits that will help them be successful at school and throughout life.  The doors near the flagpole will be locked at 7:45 am.  Parents MUST walk their child into the building thru the doors closest to the front office so they can receive a tardy admit slip.  Five tardies will result in a Saturday detention assignment.

Since daily attendance is mandated by state law, and monitored by the State Attorney General’s office, we are confident in knowing you will support our efforts in helping your child achieve their potential in school. If you are unsure about the policy, please feel free to ask. Once again, thank you for your support.
